Restart failed activities

You can restart a failed activity. You are notified by e-mail if an activity failed.

Prerequisite

Restart failed process instances is enabled in the configuration (Application launcher Application launcher > Administration ARIS Administration > Configuration Configuration > Process Governance > Infrastructure). By default, this property is disabled.

Procedure. Procedure

  1. Click Application launcher Application launcher > Administration Administration.

  2. Click Process administration Process administration.

  3. Click the process instance of the executable process containing the failed activity.You were informed about the relevant activity in the notification.

  4. Click History.

  5. Move the mouse pointer over the activity whose execution failed. The buttons of the available functions are displayed.

  6. Click Undo/Retry Retry.

The activity is restarted with the same data as the failed activity from where it failed. The process instance continues.

If the activity cannot be restarted, you will receive a notification. You can skip the activity.
