Reset and restart failed Web service activities

You reset and restart a failed Web service activity. You are notified by e-mail if an activity failed.

Prerequisite

Restart failed process instances is enabled in the configuration (Application launcher Application launcher > Administration ARIS Administration > Configuration Configuration > Process Governance > Infrastructure). By default, this property is disabled.

Procedure. Procedure

  1. Click Application launcher Application launcher > Administration Administration.

  2. Click Process administration Process administration.

  3. Click the process instance of the executable process containing the failed Web service activity. You were informed about the relevant activity in the notification.

  4. Click History.

  5. Move the mouse pointer over the activity whose execution failed. The buttons of the available functions are displayed.

  6. Click Re-trigger process instance/Reset and retry Reset and retry.

The failed activity is reset and started from scratch. The process instance continues.

If the activity cannot be restarted, you will receive a notification. You can skip the activity.
