Create viewpoint
You can define a viewpoint by deriving a new model type from the ArchiMate model (3.x) model type and restricting the symbol and connection types available in the derived model type.
Prerequisites
You have the Configuration administrator function privileges.
Click
Application launcher >
Administration.
Configuration is displayed.Click Conventions.
Navigate to Method > Model types.
Right-click ArchiMate model (3.x) > Derive model type. The Edit model type details dialog opens.
Select the languages for which you want to define different model names and enter the required model names and descriptions in the respective language.
In the Attributes tab, select the ARIS attributes you want to add to the default attributes of the derived model.
In the Symbols tab, select the object symbols you want to add to the default object symbols of the derived model.
In the Connections tab, select the connections you want to add to the default connections of the derived model.
In the Information tab, you can display the relationship between connections and source and target symbols.
Click Apply.
The derived model type is listed in the Model types area and you can use it in the Viewpoints area to create a viewpoint mapping for import and export.
