Find changes in the Default configuration

Changes to the Default configuration set may occur during an update. A report is available to help you identify these changes, but you can also compare the old Default configuration with the new Default configuration on XML basis. This is possible only if you update from ARIS version 2025.8 to a higher version.

Procedure. Procedure

  1. Duplicate the old Default content type set.

  2. Update.

  3. Comparison:

    1. Run the Compare content types report to compare the content types of the duplicated old Default content type set with the new Default content type set. To do so, open the content types page, select a content type set ,and click Compare Compare. The results are downloaded as a Microsoft® Excel workbook. The differences are highlighted and you can customize your content type set accordingly.

    2. Export both the duplicated old Default content type set and the new Default content type set. Compare the XML files using a comparison tool.
