Start merge procedure

You can merge the contents of a database with those of another database. Note that merging the database will result in the loss of comments on models and objects.

Prerequisite

You have prepared the databases for the merge procedure and have logged in to the databases.

Procedure. Procedure

  1. Click Application launcher Application launcher > Models and objects Models and objects.

  2. Select the model or group of the source database, which is to be transferred to the other database.

  3. Click Merge Merge. The dialog opens.

  4. Select the target database.

  5. Specify the merge options.

  6. Specify the conflict resolution settings.

  7. Optional: Click Configure log file and enable Create log file.

    To log only errors and warnings into the log file, select Errors and warnings.

    To log details should into the log file, select Errors, warnings, and detailed information.

  8. Click Apply.

The data is transferred to the target database based on your settings. The Merge dialog displays the result of the merge preview and indicates whether errors or warnings have occurred. You find the file in the Downloads folder on your hard disk.
