Change user password

Create a new password for a user or generate it automatically. Passwords of LDAP users cannot be changed.

Prerequisite

  • You have the User administrator function privilege.

  • It is strongly recommended that you activate the options Force change before first login and Force change after reset under Password policy > Advanced settings. If this options are activated, a new user or a user who wants to reset the password (forgotten password) will receive an e-mail with a temporary plain text password. The user must then enter this temporary plain text password together with the newly chosen password. Once this process is completed, the user can log in with the newly created password.
