Make default dashboards available
ARIS offers many default dashboards. The predefined dashboards contain charts or tables that show the results of various visual analyses. The default dashboards are only available if your ARIS administrator made them available. For demonstration purposes, you can display demo dashboards that are available in the United Motor Group demo database.
Prerequisites
Your ARIS server has enabled and started the dashboarding runnable (see Technical Help: ARIS server Installation - Windows, ARIS server Installation Linux, or ARIS Cloud Controller (ACC) Command-Line Tool.).
A valid ARIS Server Extension Pack Aware (YCSAW) license is available in ARIS Administration > User Management.
Users either need an ARIS Connect Viewer + ARIS Connect Viewer Extension Pack Aware User (YCSCA) license to see dashboards or an ARIS Connect Designer Extension Pack Aware User (YCSDA) license to modify dashboards.
You have access to the downloaded ARIS installation package.
If you want use Matomo to generate dashboards based on portal usage statistics of ARIS content, additional prerequisites must be met.
Import the default XML documents.
These documents are used by the default data feeds. This imported static content is used to generate demo dashboards. If you use default dashboards to display own productive data, you must update the xml documents regularly by scheduled reports (see step 6). These reports are used to create and update input data used by the default data feeds to generate default dashboards. When reports update XML documents, demo dashboards are no longer provided properly because the fictive data used to generate the demo dashboards is overwritten.
Warning
Do not import default xml documents to an updated ARIS installation. Otherwise, current data will be overwritten by static demo data and dashboards will no longer display your data.
For an an initial installation, start a bulk import using a command line tool or upload the Conversation_Rate.csv document manually.
To update the installation, copy the documents using WebDAV.
Publish the database as a process portal using the default or classic configuration set. After the XML documents were updated by the related reports, dashboards using Center of Excellence (CoE) data are only available if the published content is based on the default configuration set or a related modification set.
Create a new dashboard_viewers user group in ARIS Administration and assign all users which should see dashboards but are no Dashboard administrators. Otherwise, you must assign permissions for all dashboards and the corresponding feeds separately to every user in the data feed editor.
All default dashboards, data feeds and documents are available in ARIS.
