How to evaluate the control flow

The control flow is passed through as soon as a case has been generated at a start event during a simulation. The simulation procedure for a case may be thought of as a token with a unique process number, which moves from a start event to one or more end events. If branches exist in the control flow, the token may pass through several paths in parallel, which may join again at another rule. Depending on the control flow modeled, the tokens of each case are guided differently through the control flow.
