Change view

You can change the view of a model in the Diagram fact sheet to obtain a better overview.

Procedure. Procedure
  1. Open the Diagram fact sheet of a model.

  2. At the bottom of the modeling component, click Model view Change view. The available view options depend on the model type.

  3. Click the options to change the view of the model. Group by and Layout options can be combined with Views.

    1. Views:

      Lean

      Displays only the structurally relevant objects of a model. Satellites are hidden. The Details, Group by, and Layout options are disabled and cannot be selected.

      People view

      Besides structurally relevant objects, all Internal person, External person, Position, and Role objects are displayed. The Details, Group by, and Layout options are disabled and cannot be selected.

      IT system view

      Besides the structurally relevant objects, all objects based on the Application system type are displayed: Application system type, IT system, IT software, and IT block objects. The Details, Group by, and Layout options are disabled and cannot be selected.

      Swimlane view

      Displays the model structured in rows and columns. If row and column labels exist, the rows and columns are labeled. The Details, Group by, and Layout options are disabled and cannot be selected.

      Extended process view

      Displays the entire process across model boundaries by arranging the structurally relevant objects from left to right and the satellites above and below them. The Details, Group by, and Layout options are disabled and cannot be selected.

    2. Details: You can show or hide object types in the model.

    3. Group by: You can group the model items in a swimlane model based on the selected connection or on the Application system type object type (Other).

    4. Layout: You can arrange the model items from left to right (horizontal) or top down (vertical).

The model view is adjusted according to the selected options. Depending on the model content, the views can lead to the same result despite different criteria.

To reset the view to the default view and display it in its original layout, click Reset to default Reset. To close the Change view bar, click in the modeling area.
